What We Do

Earth Runs has been promoting as well as physically planting trees and native plants around Seattle and the greater area ever since our first Earth Day event in 2008. We help educate the public on the importance of tree's, proper tree placement and what native trees and plants we have in our region. We continually donate trees and other native plants to the public and other community organizations, and we implement our own planting projects around the area. We also provide a monthly fitness run to the community called the Magnuson Series. This helps keep our communities healthy as well as provide opportunities for the public to learn and participate in restoration events.

Accomplishments

Earth Runs has directly and indirectly planted over 12,000 trees in the greater Seattle Area. Areas where we have directly planted trees are in parks, traffic circles, and residential homes. We also have a tree grant program to people and organization that meet our criteria. We have sponsored home property plantings as well as large tree giveaways at our Earth Day event at Magnuson Park. Each year we directly and indirectly plant over 1,000 trees and native plants in our region.
